Another Book By Wale Okediran For Film Adaptation By Roland Amadi

After the successful film adaptation and the Netflix adoption of his award winning novel: TENANTS OF THE HOUSE, another book by Wale Okediran,  THE RESCUE OF UNCLE BABS has been slated for appearance on the big screen.

A contract to this effect was signed during the sidelines of the  recently concluded James Currey Literary Festival in Oxford, UK between Dr Wale Okediran and the UK based Nigerian Film Producer, Lookman Sanusi.

Written for adolescent children on the dangers of drug abuse, THE RESCUE OF UNCLE BABS (Macmillan Publishers ,1998) was the winner of the 1999 Association Of Nigerian Authors/Matatu Children's Literature Prize.

According to Sanusi: ''since most of the activities in the gripping narrative took place on a train, scenes from the proposed film will be very exciting and enthralling to children''.

The Film shoot is expected to commence at locations in Nigeria and the UK by January 2023.
